On Friday I took a quick ride from Aurora to Canby, then on Sunday I rode from St. Paul to Champoeg Park. Each ride was around 10 miles, which is not a long ride, but I am trying to tour the French Prairie of the Willamette Valley as quickly as possible.

I have found that it is so very hard to stand still and shoot photos while breathing hard from the bicycle pedaling. This is a challenge I am working with when I ride, then shoot, then ride. At first I tried to figure out how to bring a tripod with me, because the lens I use is fairly heavy; a Nikkor 55-300, and I would love to get some HDR shots.

I liken the challenge to that of the Olympic cross-county skier who must shoot a bulls-eye while out of breath.
